Frequently Asked Questions
What products do you offer?
We offer raw milk, butter, yogurt, ice cream, and other dairy products; eggs from chickens, quail, ducks, and sometimes guinea fowl; a variety of poultry including slow-growing chicken, duck, quail, and turkey (seasonally); and a wide selection of lamb cuts.
How do I get my order?
We currently offer on-farm pickup only. For most items, you can place an order through our website, and we’ll reach out to schedule a pickup time. Dairy products are available exclusively through a herd share membership, which includes a weekly pickup on a prearranged day.
What is a herd share, and how do I join?
A herd share allows you to own a portion of our dairy herd and receive raw milk from your share. It requires a seasonal agreement and a commitment to weekly pickups. You can contact us through the site to learn more or join. You can review a sample of the herd share agreement here.
What farming practices do you follow?
We raise our animals on pasture and never use soy, pesticides, hormones, or unnatural supplements. Our focus is on ethical, sustainable, and chemical-free farming. Period.
When can I pick up my order?
We don’t keep standard hours, but we schedule each pickup directly with you. Most orders can be picked up any day of the week with a bit of notice.
Can I visit the farm or take a tour?
Yes, but visits are by appointment only. A fee may apply depending on the size of your group. Contact us to schedule a time.
How can I place an order?
You can order through our website, by phone, by email, or during a prearranged visit. We’re also building a farm store that will make product browsing and purchasing even easier.
What breeds do you raise?
We raise Icelandic, Katahdin, and Polypay sheep; various heritage chicken breeds; Pekin and Khaki ducks; Jersey and Guernsey cows (we currently milk the Jersey); Pearl Gray guinea fowl; and an Anatolian Shepherd as our livestock guardian dog.
Are your products available year-round?
Our meat is available year-round. Dairy is typically available year-round as well, with a possible winter slowdown. Egg availability varies seasonally.
How should I store your products?
Eggs: Our eggs are unwashed, so if they are refrigerated, they can last several weeks.
Milk: Raw and unpasteurized, it should be kept cold and sealed. It typically lasts over a week, and up to several months if frozen.
Meat: All meats are frozen and should be stored frozen until ready to cook.
